We organise Saturday, Sunday and Thursday rambles plus Wednesday “Sunset Strolls” during the lighter summer evenings.
Saturday rambles are usually 4 to 5 miles and held in the West Midlands/Warwickshire area where travel passes can be used on local buses and trains. We meet at Pool Meadow Bus Station or Coventry railway Station.
We hire a coach for occasional Sunday Rambles. This gives more flexibility, and ramblers can choose if they wish to do morning or afternoon walks or both. The coach leaves outside the Salvation Army building in Upper Well Street, Coventry.
The Wednesday and Thursday walkers travel by car and meet at a pub where they normally have a meal after the walk.
If the walk information states 6+4 miles on the programme, it means the ramble is 6 miles in the morning and 4 miles in the afternoon.
Saturday Walks using Local Transport

We use public transport to reach our walks in the West Midlands and Warwickshire Counties, and sometimes in Coventry’s Green Spaces.
We meet at the Information Centre in Coventry Pool Meadow Bus Station, or Coventry Train Station concourse.
Travel passes can be used on the local buses and trains.
Bring a snack/dinner and a drink to have along the walk.

Sunday Walks using a Coach -2026
During the spring and summer months, we are planning walks using coaches.
The dates and destinations have yet to be decided. Specific details for each destination will be available nearer the time.
Unless stated otherwise, our usual car parking arrangement with Wickes will apply.
The coach will leave at 9am from outside The Salvation Army, Upper Well Street, Coventry. CV1 4AG
April 26th – Chepstow (note, this walk has been changed from the 19th April due to the Coventry marathon event)

The cost is £20, which will be collected on the coach.
If you have booked a place on the coach and do not attend, you will be expected to pay.
Thursday Walks using Cars (All walks are circular)

Cars are used to reach the start of the walk and meet up in a village or pub car park. The walks are up to 7 miles in length. Normally the ramblers stop for a midday meal in a pub after the walk.
The walks depart at 9:45 am
All walks are circular
If ordering a post-walk meal, please arrive at 9:30am at the very latest.

Wednesday Sunset Strolls using Cars (All walks are circular)

The Sunset Strolls take place on Wednesday evenings throughout the summer. Walks are circular and begin at a pub where we eat after the walk. The walks are no longer than 4 miles and take about 2 hours.
All Wednesday walks depart at 6pm.
If ordering a post-walk meal, please arrive at 5:45pm at the very latest.
Although the Sunset Strolls are very leisurely in pace, there are some club members who may like to take part in a shorter walk of no more than 2 miles.
Anyone wishing to do a shorter walk may turn back after about a mile or so, where they can to join the rest of the walkers for a meal.
